ABOUT B.A.T.C.H.

B.A.T.C.H. is an ACCOLADE Celebrations initiative created to respond to the homeless in the local community. Bags-to-go are assembled at a BATCH site and include

basic necessities and local resource information.  Filled bags are provided to shelters, churches, and social services organizations who provide resources to help the homeless.

How it Works

WHAT'S IN THE BAG

Bags-to-go include: outreach materials (e.g., free services, food/clothing  banks. shelters, worship service & events) and basic necessities donated by the community (e.g., toothbrushes, toothpaste, tissues, crackers, bottled water, deodorant, and more)

HOW IT WORKS

1. SET DATEs

Timeframes set to

receive donations (1-2 Weeks)

and BATCH (4-5 hrs.)

Advertise the BATCH event and request donations and volunteers.

(This is an opportunity for high school students and youth organizations who need to earn community service hours to volunteer.)

BATCH to-go-bags with resources and materials are assembled at a host site

BATCH to-go-bags are distributed to local shelters, churches, and social services organizations who provide resources to help the homeless.
