Senior Resource Foundation of Ocala

The Senior Resource Foundation of Ocala aims to improve the mental, physical, and social health of older adults. Believing that age is a state of mind, not a barrier, the foundation helps seniors take on valuable roles in today’s world. Its programs include “Seniors at Work,” which connects older adults with part-time jobs, technology classes to keep them up-to-date and involved, and a resource guide to help seniors and their families find services. By highlighting seniors as active contributors, the SRF of Ocala promotes dignity for individuals and strengthens the Marion County community.

ABOUT B.A.T.C.H.

B.A.T.C.H. is an ACCOLADE Celebrations initiative created to respond to the homeless in the local community. Bags-to-go are assembled at a BATCH site and include

basic necessities and local resource information. Filled bags are provided to shelters, churches, and social services organizations who provide resources to help the homeless.

To nominate someone for an Ovations Award, fill out a Nomination Form for an individual, team, or organization that has made a significant impact through an Act of Kindness for the homeless. Eligible nominations are posted for public voting on our website. We promote voting through our social media, and nominees are encouraged to gather support from friends, family, and colleagues. The nomination with the most votes wins. The winner is announced and the prize is awarded. For a winning team, group, or organization, the prize is given to the key contact person listed on the Nomination Form.

To nominate someone for the Ovations Award, ensure they meet these criteria: They are a Marion County, Florida resident. They are at least 18 years old. The Act of Kindness occurred within the past 30 days. You include a brief paragraph about their Act of Kindness to improve the well-being of the homeless. You provide their email and home address. They have not been nominated in the past 6 months.

Every nominee is inspiring, and your vote helps us recognize the standout of the month. When voting, think about these questions: Does the nominee's act uplift your mood and outlook? Do you feel a personal connection to their story? Is their impact far-reaching? Is their act unique and unprecedented? Does it bring joy to your heart? The nominee with the most votes will be honored as the Ovations winner for that month.
